espioca tower

Restoration of an 11th century tower | January 2011, Picassent, Spain.

This project was done during my degree in Architecture at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia

"La Torre Espioca" [the Espioca Tower] is a morisc tower built in the 11th century in Picassent, a small town in Spain. The aim of the project was to analyse the tower in terms of materials, deterioration, structural problems.. to evaluate the pass of time.

After a very deep analysis of all the features, a proposal was done to restore the tower and its surroundings, in order to be used as a protected building.
